My husband of 38 years, George, and I moved from Chicago to northwest Wisconsin for its quiet, natural beauty, and dark skies. Living here allows me to pursue my passions: nature walks with my dog, astronomy, reading, photography, playing piano, and listening to music. My favorite hobby, cooking, is what drew me to the Natural Alternative. I consider myself semi-retired. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom to two daughters, an early childhood educator, a telecommunications specialist, and most recently a cashier at the Natural Alternative. My time at the co-op taught me the value of listening to customers, sharing what we know, and learning as we go. My vision for the co-op is that it continues to grow and meet the needs of a community that appreciates the value of fresh local produce, handcrafted items, and a place to come together to share what we know and have. An engaged, informed membership is key to achieving this. |
