Wendy has a unique history with the Co-op. She grew up in Luck and her grandmother worked in the Co-op's building when it was an IGA grocery store. Her mother has been an owner and very regular shopper for many years!
A lifelong learner with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees, Wendy recently retired from a 37-year career as an elementary school teacher. She continues to study herbs, health, and wellness and is also certified as an essential oil coach through the AADP.
With her strong passion for teaching and wide breadth of knowledge, Wendy serves on the Co-op's Education and Marketing Committee. Three key goals guide her Co-op work - making owners feel connected, guests feel welcome and local producers feel valued and appreciated.
Eating locally sourced and organic foods is a high priority for Wendy. Playing piano and harp, along with hiking and gardening help keep her grounded. The Co-op's sights and smells are her relaxation therapy!
